Richard “Lance” Sloan is the owner, founder, and chief design professional of ABQ Cabling LLC. With over 40 years of experience in the Information Technology (ICT) industry, Lance has held various hands-on and managerial positions. He served as an owner/partner and technical manager for Dynamic Communications (DCI) and Business Communications Services (BCS) from the 1990s through 2017. In 2012, Lance attained the BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) 218806 certification to pursue opportunities in low voltage cabling and technology. Since becoming the owner of ABQ Cabling LLC in 2017, Lance has consistently utilized evolving technologies to meet customer needs. Mike Murphy is a 25-year veteran of selling voice and data communications infrastructure, IP video security, access control and audio/video solutions to schools, government, and businesses all over NM. Mike is committed to the needs of the client and forming a relationship that fosters great communications. Mike has maintained a relationship with many current clients for decades. With over 8 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, I’ve had the privilege of turning a passion into a lifelong career. Starting out as a cable puller and working my way up to Second Engineer, I’ve built a strong foundation in structured cabling, design, and installation. I hold an ES7-J Journeyman Certification in New Mexico and am currently pursuing my BICSI RCDD credential under the mentorship of industry expert Lance Sloan. My goal is to continue growing my knowledge and expertise while delivering the highest quality solutions for our clients. Outside of work, I’m a proud father to an amazing 12-year-old son, Sylas. I have a unique background in business management from years spent in retail. From a young age I threw myself into high demanding positions, and with the ability to increase productivity within my peers, it has always come natural for me to step up as a leader. I spent over a decade in corporate management which heightened my awareness of productivity, standard operating procedures, HR, scheduling, and the ability to quickly overcome any obstacle. It has always been my highest priority to provide customers with the highest level of service. Moving back to my home city, Albuquerque, in 2021, I decided to make a change and put myself in the field to learn every aspect of the trade. James has over 8 years of experience in low voltage electrical. After being with a previous company for 2.5 years, where he also did his apprenticeship, he has worked with Albuquerque Cabling since 2019. James enjoys having to think outside the box and constructing resourceful solutions to complex and changing circumstances. He is both a leader and a team player as he is committed to his work and does jobs wholeheartedly and with diligence as he cares about the end results for customers. Jeremy Sloan works as the Business & Finance Manager. Jeremy has 2-+ years experience in most areas of the Telecommunications industry including cabling, PBX/Key system installation and programming, training, design/engineering, sales and management. Jeremy graduated from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management Information Systems in May of 2005. He is a husband and father to 6 children. Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, vinyl records, and leading worship at church.

With over 22 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, and a decade as an Enrolled Agent, I bring deep expertise in tax preparation, financial reporting, and client-focused service. I’m passionate about helping individuals and businesses navigate the complexities of finance with clarity and confidence. Outside of work, I find balance through yoga, hiking, hunting, travel, and a good book. Life is full and rewarding — I’ve been happily married for 7 years and am proud to be a parent to 5 daughters, 2 sons, and 2 amazing sons-in-law. My family keeps me grounded, and my work keeps me motivated to continue learning and growing every day.
